01 — THE IDEA
Movement deserves
its own language on film.
Cinematic Movement Lab is a creative collaboration exploring the relationship between dance and the camera.
It brings choreography, movement direction, cinematography and real production experience into one practical creative process. Rather than simply documenting a performance, the intention is to shape movement for the frame — considering camera, composition, rhythm, visual storytelling and the energy of the performer.
The first workshops brought the creative team and dancers together to develop that shared language. This website now serves as the home of the project and the film created from that collaboration.
